I often wonder if ignorance is really all that blissful. Perhaps sheltered is the word I am looking to say. The other day, a few of us ladies at work were looking at some pictures of male strippers and dancers on the internet. We were being all loud and naughty. I have never been to a club to see men dance, but I have been to clubs to see women and get drunk. The other ladies were discussing going to strip clubs and inviting me to come along and see this! I never thought this would happen to me. This is stuff that happens to people in movies and the news, not me, never. But it did and it is scary and real and I don't know what to do. See, I was married for almost three years and I am currently going through a divorce. The identity theft was committed by my own husband. How I almost made my daughter a nerd (like her mom) at the age of 1.583 years old. Short but sweet story. I took my daughter to Walmart on Friday. My self centered narcissistic opinions follow. Yeah, so I have a thought every day that I contemplate and have debates in my head with myself at work all day. My thought today revolved around love songs. "How did this happen?" you ask. Well, we listen to this soft rock, easy listening station on the radio, so you can imagine the artists and music that are featured. Practically all of the songs are love songs. I know what I interpret as love. But that is really of what I imagi...

Being pregnant is one thing. Babysitting is another. Hanging out with your little cousins.. you get the idea. Nothing is like being a full time parent. You are a mom when you are at work, taking her out, communicating, teaching, taking a shower, cooking, driving safely, interpreting baby noises and cries. The mindset applies to everything and it is almost instant and automatic that you get it. When I buy something, the first things I think is "Is it safe?" and "Will she be affected by it...

So I have your attention for a moment. Cool. Who is this scabbed wings person? Well, here come the labels: proud mother, scientist, divorce-ing, hobbit, mutitasker, life fixer upper, old punk rock kid, uber-dork, quilter, and goody two shoes. Prod mother: My daughter is the coolest person on the whole damn planet. All parents should think that. My next blog will be entirely about her. She is one year and seven months old. I love watching her learn and smile and just plain be a ki...
